Invited to participate for Latino Arts, Inc's Day of the Dead Ofrenda Exhibition, Salgado and their sister, Laura Salgado, collaborated to created a serires of nichos. From core memories of visiting the Pyramids of Teothiuacán to simply sharing a family meal, these nichos represent how the Salgados keep their loved ones close despite distant or death. 

These small shadowboxes were created as tributes to their family in Texas and Mexico. Based on their memories from their travels and reunions, the sibling pair created 21 nichos inspired by their memories with their family.
